When Shri Palanki Suryanarayana murthy joined Annavaram Devasthanam as its chief physician, he had only one dream in his heart. To establish an authentic, Ayurvedic pharmacy and to serve the needy.Annavaram is a village in the Ratnagiri hill range of Eastern Ghats, which has an abundance of herbs, in their fresh and purest form. And that’s how a 94 years old. Sri Surya Ayurveda Nilayam, took off. Later he relocated to Pithapuram, where the current set up of SAN is established over two acre campus.
Though he had no formal training in manufacturing, His passion in this science lead him to create new formulations . He was the first one to introduce Ayurvedic tablets, in 1935, with natural ingredients and no excipients. Our tablets are manufactured using these special ingredients till date. Dr.Murthy was awarded with Gold Kankans and medals for successfully treating epileptic, jaundice and nephritis patients.
Dr.Palanki Sitharamiah, his second son took over the mantle from Palanki Suryanarayana murthy. Having studied both allopathy and Ayurvedic stream of medicines and specializing in Siddha research methods in metals and minerals calcifications.Dr.Sitharamaiah paved way to novel methods in preparing bhasmams and sindoorams. SSAN adapts these methods in formulations. He has formulated more than 100 products in herbo-mineral-metallic combinations.
Clinical study is his another forte.He has documented many successfully treated Psoriasis and Vitiligo patients.Under his guidance SSAN has obtained license for a proprietary medicine called “MB-z caps” using “Mahabhallathaka Thailam” as the key ingredient for treating Psoriasis.
Dr. Shanti Vijeyapall took over the reins of SSAN as the managing director in 2018. A consistent topper in her studies, she graduated with flying colors from Venkataramana Ayurvedic College in Chennai in 1992. She has got a fellowship from Royal college of London in the study of Osteo-arthritis (OA). An eminent Ayurvedic doctor, international speaker, columnist and a fourth generation entrepreneur, she brings in the knowledge and expertise of a seasoned clinician, which is very helpful in designing new formulations.
Dr.Shanti has 15 years of experience in the manufacturing of the signature products of Deekshitha Herbomineral Inc. She also serves as the Medical director of “Dr.Vijeyapal’s Herbzalive Pvt Ltd”, a chain of Ayurvedic centers in India and Singapore. Being a front runner in preventive healthcare, she is been appointed as the wellness consultant in “Quadratyx” an AI company in Hyderabad.
