Dr. Moorthy Palanki is the Director of the Undergraduate Degree Program in Biotechnology and Professor of Practice in Biotechnology at California State University in San Marcos (CSUSM). Professor Moorthy completed his Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry at the University of Kansas and postdoctoral studies at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla and started his career in biotechnology industries in San Diego. Dr. Moorthy has numerous publications in scientific journals and patents. At present, Dr. Moorthy is teaching both graduate majors and undergraduate majors in biotechnology. He is actively involved with the local biotech communities as a consultant. He is a consultant for Tracon and Ivogenand .Also a scientific board member for NovickBio. Dr.Moorthy is currently providing consulting services in developing novel therapeutic pain patches, delivering pain medication at local sites. In addition Dr.Moorthy helps in developing CMC protocols for our manufacturing operations.
